Regular Season Round 26: Marin - Clinicas Rincon 70-78

The most surprising game was another loss of top-ranked Marin (20-6) at the home court on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by ninth ranked Clinicas Rincon (11-15) 78-70. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Marin won third quarter 22-20. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Marin 42-28 including 27 on the defensive glass. Brazilian guard Carlos Cobos (193-88) orchestrated the victory by scoring 18 points and 9 rebounds. Romanian power forward Rares Uta (211-97) contributed with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Four Clinicas Rincon players scored in double figures. American forward Javonte Green (193-93, college: Radford) replied with 26 points and power forward Antonio Pantin (206-88, agency: Interperformances) added 9 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Marin. Marin's coach Javier Llorente rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Clinicas Rincon maintains ninth position with 11-15 record. Marin at the other side still keeps top place with six games lost.
