Regular Season Round 53: Okinawa GK - Hiroshima L. 107-66

BJ League top team - Okinawa GK (37-10) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed twelfth ranked Hiroshima L. (1-43) 107-66. The game without a history. Okinawa GK led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Hiroshima L.'s 26 and made 18-of-21 charity shots (85.7 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Hiroshima L. 63-29 including a 21-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. American power forward Evan Ravenel (203-89, college: Ohio St.) nailed a double-double by scoring 23 points and 20 rebounds for the winning side and his fellow American import guard Draelon Burns (194-85, college: De Paul) accounted for 20 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Okinawa GK players scored in double figures. Ayumu Osawa (-91) came up with 14 points and the former international forward Naoya Kumagae (194-90) added 7 points and 10 rebounds respectively for Hiroshima L. in the defeat. Okinawa GK have an impressive series of fourteen victories in a row. They maintain first place with 37-10 record. Hiroshima L. lost thirtieth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the twelfth position with 43 games lost. Okinawa GK will again play against Hiroshima L. (#12) at home in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Hiroshima L. will have a break next round.
