Spireds' road win over one of their biggest challengers Sharks 76-68 was very exciting. It was a key game for the top position in League. Spireds made 18-of-22 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Jaimee Kennedy (178-88) who helped to win the game recording 25 points and 8 rebounds and guard Kate Seebohm (170-91, college: California, PA) who added 18 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Spireds' coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the losing side Taylor Mathers responded with 16 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and Lisa Watkins scored 14 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Spireds maintains first position in League with 2-0 record. Loser Sharks keep the fourth place with one game lost. Spireds will face league's second-placed Hawks in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Sharks will play against Comets in Alexandria and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
