Undefeated Sabres (3-1) recorded its first loss in Pasadena. Hosts were defeated by fourth ranked Eagles (3-1) 81-70. It was a key game for the second position in League. The game was mostly controlled by Eagles. Sabres was better in fourth quarter 22-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The winners were led by forward Olivia Thompson (185-93) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 21 points and 13 rebounds and guard Morgan Yaeger (172-98) supported her with 27 points. Even 14 points and 5 assists by Danielle Angley (-95) did not help to save the game for Sabres. American guard Jade Johnson (173, college: Arlington Baptist) added 13 points for lost side. Sabres' coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Eagles moved-up to second place in League. Eagles will play against Tigers (#6) in Morphett Vale in the next round. Sabres will play on the road against Warriors in Flinders Park and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
