Regular Season Round 4: N.Adelaide R. - Southern T. 87-73

Date: April 9, 2016
Everything could happen in Adelaide at the game between two tied teams. Both sixth ranked Rockets and 5th ranked Tigers had identical 2-1 record. This time Rockets used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Morphett Vale 87-73 on Saturday night. The game without a history. Rockets led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Worth to mention a great performance of Opal Mader who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 28 points and 10 rebounds and the former international swingman Jo Hill (182-73) who added 14 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Four Rockets players scored in double figures. At the losing side forward Mollie McKendrick (183-93, college: Boston U.) responded with a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 11 rebounds (made all of her seven free throws) and American guard Ta'Rea Cunnigan (175-93, college: San Jose St.) scored 22 points and 4 assists. Rockets (3-1) moved-up to fourth place in League. Loser Tigers dropped to the sixth position with two games lost. Rockets will face league's leader Flames in Marden in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Tigers will play at home against the league's second-placed Eagles (#2) and hope to win that game.
