Regular Season Round 4: Illawarra H. - Manly Warr. SE 80-46

There was a minor upset when much higher ranked Manly Warringah Sea Eagles (1-1) were crushed on the road by eighth ranked Hawks (1-1) 80-46 on Saturday. It was a key game for the second position in League. Hawks dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Manly Warringah Sea Eagles' 32 and made 22-of-26 free shots (84.6 percent) during the game. Hawks forced 21 Manly Warringah Sea Eagles turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of Renae Camino-Garlepp who helped to win the game recording 23 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists and Olivia White who added 18 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. Coach 's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play 10 players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. At the losing side swingman Rebecca Duke (183-87) responded with 12 points and 8 rebounds and guard Kristen Forbes (175-87) scored 8 points and 5 rebounds. Hawks left bottom position moving up to second place in League. Hawks will face league's leader Spireds in Hornsby in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week.
