Regular Season Round 5: Dandenong R. - Brisbane S. 76-77

A very interesting game took place in Dandenong. It ended with only one-point home defeat of bottom-ranked Dandenong Rangers (0-2) to fifth ranked Brisbane Spartans (2-2) 77-76 on Saturday evening. Guard Isaih Tueta (190-91) saved the victory by scoring 25 points. The former international guard CJ Bruton (188-75, college: Indian Hills CC) contributed with 19 points for the winners. The former international forward Lucas Walker (202-84, college: St.Mary's, CA) answered with 29 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and swingman Chuck Long (198-82) added 9 points in the effort for Dandenong Rangers. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Brisbane Spartans maintains fifth place in League with 2-2 record. Dandenong Rangers at the other side still closes the standings with two games lost. Brisbane Spartans' next round opponent will be Canberra Gunners (#8) in Belconnen. Dandenong Rangers will play at home against Kilsyth Cobras and hope to get finally their first victory.
