Regular Season Round 4: Aguilas - Halcones 85-69

Very important is a road loss of third ranked Halcones (2-2) against sixth ranked Patriotas (2-2) on Saturday night. Visiting Halcones were defeated by Patriotas in Boyaca 85-69. They made 21-of-27 charity shots (77.8 percent) during the game. Patriotas outrebounded Halcones 43-32 including 30 on the defensive glass. They brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Chris Fisher (183, college: East Central) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 30 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists (made all of his ten free throws !!!). The other American import forward Titus Mims (201, college: Hardin-Simmons) contributed with 24 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. American forward R.J. McGhee (198, college: Oklahoma City, agency: CGL Sports) replied with 33 points (!!!) and naturalized Venezuelan swingman Hector Diaz (197-92) added 10 points in the effort for Halcones. Halcones' coach tested ten players seeing no chance for a win. Defending champion moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Halcones and Bucaros. Patriotas will play against league's leader Cimarrones in Quibdo-Choco in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Halcones will play at home against Bucaros and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
