Regular Season Round 5: McKinnon C. - Werribee D. 90-81

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both eighth ranked McKinnon C. and 8th ranked Devils had identical 1-2 record. This time McKinnon C. used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Werribee 90-81 on Saturday night. Americans were the main players on the court. Forward Dillon Stith (200, college: St.Vincent) stepped up and scored 25 points for the winners and guard Casey Walker (196-92, college: Delaware St.) chipped in 21 points and 5 rebounds. McKinnon C.'s coach used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Guard Jeremy Smith (190, college: Nicholls St.) responded with 24 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Jordan Hughes (192-92, college: Dakota St.) scored 17 points. Four Devils players scored in double figures. McKinnon C. (2-2) moved-up to sixth place in League. Loser Devils keep the eighth position with three games lost. McKinnon C. will face Eltham Wildcats (#11) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Devils will play against the league's leader Diamond Valley Eagles in Greensborough and hope to win that game.
