Very important is a road loss of third ranked FCM Ferentino (17-11) against fifteenth ranked Omegna (10-18) on Saturday night. Visiting FCM Ferentino was edged by Omegna in a tough game in Omegna 74-75. The hosts trailed by 7 points after three quarters before their 24-16 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American Ramon Galloway (190-91, college: La Salle) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 7 rebounds and the other American import forward Tyler Smith (200-86, college: Tennessee) who added 13 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. Five Omegna players scored in double figures. At the losing side American point guard Timothy Bowers (188-82, college: Mississippi St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 12 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals and the former international power forward Angelo Gigli (209-83) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds. Omegna maintains fifteenth position in A2 with 10-18 record. Loser FCM Ferentino dropped to the fourth place with 11 games lost. Omegna will meet higher ranked Angelico Biella (#8) on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. FCM Ferentino will play against Mens Sana Siena (#3) having rather not much hope for a victory.
