Regular Season Round 26: Trikalla - Apollon Patras 84-67

Date: April 9, 2016
We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 10th ranked Apollon Patras (9-17) lost on the road to eleventh ranked Aiolos Trikallon (9-17) 84-67 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Aiolos Trikallon. Apollon Patras managed to win second period 27-25. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. British Ovie Soko (201-91, college: Duquesne) notched 25 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the effort and American Brandon Brown (201-85, college: CS San Bernar.) supported him with 17 points and 9 rebounds. Brown is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Aiolos Trikallon players scored in double figures. Even 16 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists by American point guard Kevin Dillard (183-89, college: Dayton) did not help to save the game for Apollon Patras. His fellow American import center Tony Woods (211-90, college: Oregon) added 16 points and 9 rebounds for the guests. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Aiolos Trikallon moved-up to tenth place, which they share with defeated Apollon Patras. Apollon Patras lost fifth consecutive game.
