Important game to mention about took place in Madrid. Thirteenth ranked Barcelona (6-19) saved a 2-point victory on the road edging higher ranked ASEFA Estudiantes (12-13) 58-56 on Saturday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the home team. ASEFA Estudiantes was trailing by 1 point at halftime but managed to get 2-point lead after three quarters before a 14-10 charge of Barcelona, which allowed them to win the game. They also forced 24 ASEFA Estudiantes turnovers. Forward Maria Moreno (181-84) fired 19 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Power forward Marles Balart (184-94) chipped in 10 points and 7 rebounds. Four Barcelona players scored in double figures. Center Mariana Gonzalez (187-88) produced 14 points and 8 rebounds and Patricia Arguello (178-87) added 14 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. Newly promoted Barcelona maintains thirteenth place in Group B with 6-19 record. ASEFA Estudiantes lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the eighth position with 13 games lost.
