Regular Season Round 25: Ensino - Al-Qazeres 64-88

Leader Al-Qazeres delivered the twenty second victory. This time they crushed 7th ranked Maquinaria Ensino (12-13) 88-64 in Lugo. The game without a history. Al-Qazeres led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Maquinaria Ensino's 36. They outrebounded Maquinaria Ensino 50-30 including a 30-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of Senegalese center Marieme Cisse (196-95, agency: Josep and Nicolas) who helped to win the game recording 9 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists. American forward Julie Forster (185-91, college: Albany) contributed with 17 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Four Al-Qazeres players scored in double figures. Guard Tamara Montero (168-94) answered with 22 points and 7 rebounds (made all of her seven free throws) and Paloma Dorda added 14 points in the effort for Maquinaria Ensino. Maquinaria Ensino's coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Al-Qazeres maintains first place in Group A with 22-3 record. Maquinaria Ensino at the other side keeps the seventh position with 13 games lost. They share it with RC Celta. Al-Qazeres will play against Adareva (#6) in SC Laguna in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Maquinaria Ensino will play on the road against Oviedo and hopes to get back on the winning track.
