Regular Season Round 31: Blois - Quimper 63-71

The most surprising game was another loss of top-ranked ADA Blois (25-6) at the home court on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by tenth ranked Quimper UJAP (16-15) 71-63. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But ADA Blois won third quarter 16-13. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded ADA Blois 36-23 including a 31-12 advantage in defensive rebounds. Quimper UJAP looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a great evening for Ukrainian forward Vyacheslav Bobrov (201-92) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 10 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists. American forward Dwight Burke (202-86, college: Marquette) helped adding 11 points and 10 rebounds. Burke is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. At the losing side British-Ghanian center Eric Boateng (208-85, college: Arizona St.) responded with 12 points and 8 rebounds and swingman Florian Thibedore (193-90) scored 12 points, 5 assists and 4 steals. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Quimper UJAP moved-up to ninth place, which they share with SAP Vaucluse. ADA Blois at the other side still keeps top position with six games lost. Quimper UJAP is looking forward to face higher ranked GET Vosges (#3) in Golbey in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. ADA Blois will play on the road against Lourdes-Tarbes and is hoping to win this game.
