Regular Season Round 28: Pau-Lacq-Orthez - Gravelines 85-64

The game in Pau supposed to be also quite interesting. One of their biggest challengers Gravelines-Dunkerque (18-10) played at the court of sixth ranked Pau-Lacq-Orthez (18-10). Pau-Lacq-Orthez smashed Gravelines-Dunkerque 85-64 on Saturday. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Gravelines-Dunkerque. The game was mostly controlled by Pau-Lacq-Orthez. Gravelines-Dunkerque was better in second period 21-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Lance Harris (195-84, college: Kansas St.) who helped to win the game recording 25 points and the other American import point guard Michael Thompson (177-89, college: Northwestern) who added 20 points and 5 assists during the contest. Pau-Lacq-Orthez's coach Eric Bartecheky felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side American center Graham Brown (206-84, college: Michigan) responded with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds (perfect from the field making all six shots) and the former international swingman Pape Sy (201-88) scored 12 points and 6 rebounds. Four Gravelines-Dunkerque players scored in double figures. Pau-Lacq-Orthez moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Gravelines-Dunkerque. Pau-Lacq-Orthez will face Chalons-Reims (#12) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Gravelines-Dunkerque will play against Paris-Levallois (#14) and hope to win that game.
