There was no surprise when 12th ranked Scrivia (6-20) was defeated on the road by second ranked Team Crema (22-4) 63-57 on Sunday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Team Crema forced 24 Scrivia turnovers. Latvian forward Ieva Veinberga (185-84) scored 20 points and 6 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Cecilia Zagni (180-95) chipped in 21 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Center Clara Salvini (180-92) responded with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds and naturalized Argentinian swingman Florencia Palacios (183-85, agency: SPORTlab Agency) scored 16 points and 5 rebounds. Scrivia's coach Franco Balduzzi rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Team Crema maintains second position in A2 with 22-4 record having six points less than leader Broni. Newly promoted Scrivia keeps the twelfth place with 20 games lost.
