Third-ranked Musel Pikes (17-10) used its home court advantage to challenge first ranked Amicale (25-2) in Stadrbredimus. The visitors from Steinsel managed to secure only two-point victory 66-64. However their fans expected easier game. Musel Pikes cut a 15-point first quarter deficit to two at the end of the game. Amicale made 18-of-22 charity shots (81.8 percent) during the game. The former international power forward Billy McDaniel (199-84, college: Ark.-Monticello, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) had a double-double by scoring 24 points and 15 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the former international guard Eric Jeitz (191-86) chipped in 9 points and 12 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American swingman Jarmar Gulley (196-91, college: Missouri St., agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds and his fellow American import power forward Clancy Rugg (203-91, college: Vermont, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points, 13 rebounds and 4 blocks. Amicale maintains first position in League with 25-2 record. Musel Pikes at the other side keeps the third place with ten games lost. Amicale will play against Etzella (#5) in Ettelbruck in the next round. Musel Pikes will play on the road against the league's second-placed T71 in Dudelange and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
