Very important is a road loss of third ranked Agrigento (17-11) against fourteenth ranked Viola RC (12-16) on Sunday night. Visiting Agrigento was defeated by Viola RC in Reggio Calabria 82-69. Agrigento was ahead by 1 point at the halftime before a 40-26 second half run of Viola RC. They shot the lights out from three nailing 12 long-distance shots on high 52.2 percentage. Worth to mention a great performance of American Craig Brackins (208-87, college: Iowa St.) who helped to win the game recording 24 points and 7 rebounds. British point guard Ogooluwa Adegboye (182-87, college: St.Bonaventure) contributed with 18 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. American swingman Kelvin Martin (195-89, college: Charleston So.) replied with 21 points and 9 rebounds and his fellow American import power forward Scott Eatherton (206-91, college: Northeastern, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) added 11 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Agrigento. Four Viola RC and five Agrigento players scored in double figures. Viola RC moved-up to thirteenth place in A2. Agrigento at the other side dropped to the sixth position with 11 games lost. Viola RC will play against La Briosa BRC (#16) in Barcellona in the next round. Agrigento will play at home against Lighthouse TR (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
