There was an upset in Baulkham Hills where higher ranked Hills Hornets (1-3) were edged by twelfth ranked Maitland Mustangs (1-4) 79-77 on Sunday. Maitland Mustangs forced 20 Hills Hornets turnovers. American forward Mitchell Rueter (198, college: Cent.Arkansas) stepped up and scored 29 points for the winners and Tyrrell Turner chipped in 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Naturalized Greek swingman Emils Duselis (192) responded with 11 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists and David Hayman scored 17 points. Four Hills Hornets players scored in double figures. Hills Hornets' coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Maitland Mustangs left bottom position moving up to eleventh place in League. Loser Hills Hornets keep the eighth position with three games lost. Maitland Mustangs will face higher ranked Bankstown Bruins (#3) in Condell Park in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
