Regular Season Round 28: Bologna Etern. - Recanati 99-77

Date: April 10, 2016
Very predictable result when eighth ranked Bologna Etern. (16-12) outscored at home 15th ranked Recanati (7-21) 99-77 on Sunday. The hosts trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 23-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 99-77. Bologna Etern. made 29-of-31 free shots (93.5 percent) during the game, while Recanati only scored five points from the stripe. Bologna Etern. looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American swingman Jonte Flowers (196-85, college: Winona St.) fired 28 points for the winners. The former international power forward Valerio Amoroso (204-80, agency: Interperformances) chipped in 14 points and 4 assists. Four Bologna Etern. players scored in double figures. American center Kenny Lawson (207-88, college: Creighton) produced a double-double by scoring 24 points and 14 rebounds and his fellow American import guard Lenzelle Smith Jr. (193-88, college: Ohio St.) added 13 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Bologna Etern. moved-up to seventh place in A2. Loser Recanati keeps the fifteenth position with 21 games lost. Bologna Etern. will face Bondi Ferrara (#11) on the road in the next round. Recanati will play against Roseto (#4) and hope to win that game.
