There was an upset in Gawler where 3rd placed West Adelaide Bearcats (2-2) were defeated by eighth ranked Central District Lions (1-3) 75-68 on Sunday. Central District Lions forced 19 West Adelaide Bearcats turnovers. Center Daniel Carlin (206-93, college: Westmont) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 19 rebounds for the winners and Jordan Centernera chipped in 16 points and 8 rebounds. Four Central District Lions players scored in double figures. Central District Lions' coach used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Center Blake Truslove (204-79) responded with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 22 rebounds and American guard Demetrius Perkins (190, college: Idaho Coll.) scored 22 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Central District Lions maintains eighth place in League with 1-3 record. Loser West Adelaide Bearcats dropped to the sixth position with two games lost. Central District Lions will face Eastern Mavericks (#9) in Mt. Barker in the next round.
