Regular Season Round 28: Isernia - Scauri 78-112

Not a big story in a game when 15th ranked Isernia (4-24) was outplayed at home by seventh ranked Scauri (16-11) 112-78 on Sunday. Scauri dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Isernia's 32 and made 33-of-39 free shots (84.6 percent) during the game, while Isernia only scored two points from the stripe. They outrebounded Isernia 35-19 including a 27-13 advantage in defensive rebounds. The former international power forward Simone Bagnoli (205-81) fired a double-double by scoring 28 points and 17 rebounds for the winners. Naturalized Argentinian swingman Santiago Boffelli (197-83) chipped in 35 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds (made all of his eleven free throws !!!). Four Scauri players scored in double figures. Swingman Alessandro Guagliardi (194-94) produced 17 points and naturalized Albanian power forward Klaudio Patani (190-96) added 10 points respectively for lost side. Newly promoted Scauri maintains seventh position in B with 16-11 record. Loser Isernia keeps the fifteenth place with 24 games lost. Scauri will face higher ranked Palestrina (#3) in Roma in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Isernia will play on the road against Roma S.Azzurra (#12) and hope to win that game.
