Regular Season Round 27: Bnei Hertzeliyya - Maccabi T-A 80-90

An interesting game for Maccabi T-A (19-8) which played road game in Hod Hasharon against 4th placed Bnei Hasharon (14-13). Second ranked Maccabi T-A managed to get a 10-point victory 90-80. Maccabi T-A dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Bnei Hasharon's 42. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. It was a good game for American-Montenegrin point guard Taylor Rochestie (185-85, college: Washington St.) who led his team to a victory with 24 points and 6 assists (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field). American-FYR Macedonian power forward Richard Hendrix (204-86, college: Alabama, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) contributed with 12 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Senegalese center Hamady N'Diaye (212-87, college: Rutgers) answered with 20 points and 6 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and American guard Drew Crawford (196-90, college: Northwestern) added 16 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Bnei Hasharon. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Maccabi T-A maintains second place with 19-8 record having just two points less than leader Hapoel J-M. Bnei Hasharon at the other side keeps the fourth position with 13 games lost. They share it with Ironi Nahariya and Hapoel Eilat. Maccabi T-A are looking forward to face Maccabi Rishon (#7) in Rishon Le-Zion in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Bnei Hasharon will play on the road against Maccabi Haifa and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
