Regular Season Round 27: Stelmet ZG - Rosa Radom 88-64

The game between closely ranked teams ended with first ranked Stelmet's (23-4) home victory over second-best Rosa (22-7) 88-64 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Stelmet. Rosa was better in fourth quarter 23-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 17-of-19 free shots (89.5 percent) during the game. Stelmet shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 54.2 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Rosa was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for American point guard Dee Bost (188-89, college: Mississippi St., agency: Three Eye Sports) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 7 rebounds and 10 assists. Serbian power forward Dejan Borovnjak (207-86, agency: Beo Basket) helped adding 16 points and 8 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Four Stelmet players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American point guard Torey Thomas (178-85, college: Holy Cross) with 19 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and Ukrainian power forward Igor Zaytsev (210-89) scored 14 points. Rosa's coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Defending champion maintains first place with 23-4 record. Rosa at the other side keeps the second position with seven games lost. Stelmet will face Stal Ostrow Wlkp. (#12) on the road in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Rosa will play against Trefl (#15) and hope to win that game.
