Semi-Finals Game 1: Wasserburg - Marburg 78-57

Wasserburg prevailed against Marburg to secure the winning start to their semifinal campaign. The game was mostly controlled by TSV 1880 Wasserburg. BC Pharmaserv Marburg was better in third quarter 13-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. TSV 1880 Wasserburg forced 23 BC Pharmaserv Marburg turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of Canadian power forward Nayo Raincock-Ekunwe (188-91, college: Simon Fraser) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 15 points and 13 rebounds. American point guard Sheylani Peddy (170-88, college: Temple, agency: LBM Management) contributed with 18 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Five TSV 1880 Wasserburg players scored in double figures. American guard Tonisha Baker (168-90, college: Campbell) answered with 13 points and 6 steals and the other American import center Stephanie Lee (186, college: N.Colorado) added 13 points in the effort for BC Pharmaserv Marburg. BC Pharmaserv Marburg's coach gave up on the game allowing to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win.
