We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when tenth ranked Torino (9-17) defeated at home 9th ranked Battipaglia (9-17) 78-72 on Sunday. Battipaglia trailed by 14 points at halftime and as many as 18 after three quarters before a 29-17 last quarter charge cut the deficit to 72-78 at the end of the game. Torino forced 22 Battipaglia turnovers. Strangely Battipaglia outrebounded Torino 43-20 including a 19-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Battipaglia's players. The best player for the winners was American center Jenna Smith (191-88, college: Illinois, agency: Two Points) who had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds. The other American import guard Yvonne Anderson (170-90, college: Texas, agency: Two Points) chipped in 16 points and 7 assists. Dutch Kourtney Treffers (187-94, agency: Court Side) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 21 rebounds and American forward Rashanda Gray (191-93, college: High School) added 20 points and 9 rebounds respectively for the guests.
