Halcones outrebounded Bucaros 47-33 including 20 on the offensive glass. Naturalized Venezuelan swingman Hector Diaz (197-92) nailed 19 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side and Venezuelan power forward Jesus Martinez (206-86) accounted for 16 points and 13 rebounds. American guard Prince Obasi (193-91, college: Seattle, agency: Interperformances) came up with 14 points and 8 rebounds and Venezuelan forward Luis Almanza (196-91) added 10 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Bucaros in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Halcones moved-up to fourth place. Loser Bucaros keep the fifth position with three games lost. They share it with Aguilas. Halcones will again meet at home Bucaros (#6) in the next round. Bucaros will have a break next round.
