Regular Season Round 28: Nanterre - Chalon 82-88

The most shocking disappointment of round 28 was a home defeat of 7th ranked JSF Nanterre (17-11) to eighth ranked Chalon/Saor (18-10) 88-82. It ended the two-game winning streak of JSF Nanterre. The guests trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 20-12 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. Chalon/Saor dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to JSF Nanterre's 34. Worth to mention a great performance of American center Devin Booker (203-91, college: Clemson) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 6 rebounds (on 10-of-11 shooting from the field) and the other American import point guard John Roberson (180-88, college: Texas Tech) who added 15 points and 6 assists during the contest. Four Chalon/Saor players scored in double figures. Chalon/Saor's coach Jean-Denys Choulet used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side the former international Hugo Invernizzi (196-93) responded with 14 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and international center Mouhammadou Jaiteh (208-94) scored 11 points and 7 rebounds. Chalon/Saor have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 3 other teams. JSF Nanterre at the other side dropped to the eighth position with 11 games lost. Chalon/Saor is looking forward to face Cholet Basket (#15) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. JSF Nanterre will play against Olympique Antibes (#13) and is hoping to win this game.
