Canadian forward Dwayne Smith (198-88, college: G.Washington) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 13 rebounds for the winners and the former international power forward Divier Perez (201-89) chipped in 12 points, 12 rebounds and 5 blocks. Five Academia players scored in double figures. American swingman Antonio Davis (196-82, college: Urbana) responded with 27 points and 9 rebounds and Venezuelan power forward Keving Palacios (201-84, college: S.Carolina) scored 12 points and 9 rebounds. Academia have a solid series of four victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Condores and Cimarrones. Piratas at the other side still closes the standings with five games lost. Academia will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Piratas will play again at home against Academia (#3) and hope to get finally their first victory.
