Kibirkstis-VICI escaped with a narrow one-point victory over Utena to take 1-0 lead in the consolation final series. Utena was trailing by 5 points at halftime but managed to get 4-point lead after three quarters before a 18-13 charge of Kibirkstis-VICI, which allowed them to win the game. They made 17-of-19 free shots (89.5 percent) during the game. American forward Shenita Landry (188-87, college: Temple, agency: Two Points) stepped up and scored 24 points and 6 rebounds for the winners and swingman Vitalija Kaminskyte (181-92) chipped in 9 points and 6 rebounds. At the losing side international swingman Marina Solopova (180-90) responded with 16 points, 5 assists and 5 steals and international center Kristina Alminaite (205-90) scored 12 points, 5 rebounds and 4 blocks. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game.
