Regular Season Round 6: Halcones - Bucaros 50-52

The most exciting game of round 6 in the Liga DirecTV took place in Cucuta. This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of one of their biggest challengers Halcones (3-3) to sixth ranked Bucaros (3-3) 52-50 in the game for the fourth place. Strangely Halcones outrebounded Bucaros 46-28 including a 19-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. American guard Prince Obasi (193-91, college: Seattle, agency: Interperformances) scored 16 points to lead the charge for the winners and Venezuelan forward Luis Almanza (196-91) chipped in 11 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was Venezuelan power forward Jesus Martinez (206-86) with 14 points, 7 rebounds and 4 blocks and naturalized Venezuelan swingman Hector Diaz (197-92) scored 18 points. Bucaros moved-up to fourth place, which they share with defeated Halcones. Bucaros is looking forward to face league's leader Cimarrones in Quibdo-Choco in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Halcones will play on the road against Sabios in Manizales and are hoping to win this game.
