Very important is a road loss of third ranked Byblos (11-11) against fourth ranked Louaize (5-17) on Tuesday night. Visiting Byblos were crushed by Louaize in Zouk 74-41. The game without a history. Louaize led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Byblos' 32. Louaize forced 25 Byblos turnovers. American forward Alex Okafor (202-87, college: Princeton) notched a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds to lead the effort and the other American import guard Geron Johnson (190-92, college: Memphis) supported him with 21 points and 9 assists. Louaize's coach Marwan Khalil felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 22 points and 5 rebounds by American Andre Smith (204-85, college: N.Dakota St., agency: Pensack Sports) did not help to save the game for Byblos. The former international power forward Ali Kanaan (207-85, college: Mass.-Lowell) added 12 points and 13 rebounds. Newly promoted Louaize maintains fourth position with 5-17 record. Loser Byblos keep the third place with 11 games lost.
