Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both fifteenth ranked Denain Voltaire and 17th ranked Souffelweyersheim had identical 10-16 record. They made 25-of-32 free shots (78.1 percent) during the game, while Souffelweyersheim only scored five points from the stripe. Souffelweyersheim was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for American swingman Austin Hollins (195-91, college: Minnesota) who led his team to a victory with 22 points. His fellow American import point guard Jeb Ivey (190-80, college: Portland St.) contributed with 16 points for the winners. American guard Matthew Gibson (195-84) answered with 18 points and 6 assists and center Moustapha Diarra (204-87, college: USF) added 12 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Souffelweyersheim. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Denain Voltaire (11-16) moved-up to fourteenth place, which they share with Roanne and St Chamond. Souffelweyersheim lost their fifth game in a row. They keep the seventeenth position with 17 games lost. Denain Voltaire will face higher ranked JA Vichy (#13) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Souffelweyersheim will play against Nantes (#9) and hope to win that game.
