Regular Season Round 27: St Chamond - Vichy Clermont 75-65

There was a surprise result when sixteenth ranked Saint Chamond (11-16) won against at home higher ranked JA Vichy (12-15) 75-65 on Tuesday. The hosts trailed by 5 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 1-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 75-65. Saint Chamond made 23-of-26 free shots (88.5 percent) during the game. It was a good game for Vincent Ateba (194-85, college: Missouri So.) who led his team to a victory with 22 points. American guard Dustin Salisbery (193-84, college: Temple) contributed with 14 points and 4 assists for the winners. Saint Chamond's coach Alain Thinet used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Power forward Charles-Henri Bronchard (200-82, agency: Court Side) answered with 24 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and American swingman Jason Williams (198-83, college: UTEP, agency: HMS) added 15 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for JA Vichy. Saint Chamond moved-up to fourteenth place, which they share with Roanne and Denain. JA Vichy at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the twelfth position with 15 games lost. Saint Chamond will face Chorale de Roanne (#16) on the road in the next round.
