Regular Season Round 18: Mazatlan - Los Mochis 79-72

Very expected game when 9th ranked Pioneros Los Mochis (6-9) were defeated on the road by fourth ranked Lobos UAD Mazatlan (10-7) 79-72. The game was dominated by American players. It was a good game for swingman Dwayne Mitchell (196-82, college: La-Lafayette) who led his team to a victory with 24 points. Guard Carldell Johnson (177-83, college: UAB) contributed with 13 points and 4 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) for the winners. Leon Gibson (206-91, college: Houston) replied with 24 points and 9 rebounds and guard Craig Blackmon (193-87, college: Texas Tyler) added 13 points in the effort for Pioneros Los Mochis. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Lobos UAD Mazatlan maintains fourth position with 10-7 record. Pioneros Los Mochis at the other side keep the ninth place with nine games lost. Lobos UAD Mazatlan's next round opponent will be again Pioneros Los Mochis (#9) at home where they are favorite.
