Regular Season Round 27: Bourg - Evreux 68-87

Another interesting game for ALM Evreux (17-10) which played on the court of JL Bourg (16-11). Second ranked ALM Evreux had an easy win 87-68. It looked good early as JL Bourg took a 2-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then ALM Evreux had a 22-18 second period charge getting the lead and JL Bourg was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 68-87. ALM Evreux made 25-of-30 charity shots (83.3 percent) during the game, while JL Bourg only scored eight points from the stripe. JL Bourg was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for American forward Joe Burton (201-90, college: Oregon St.) who led his team to a victory scoring 22 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. His fellow American import swingman Drake Reed (194-87, college: Austin Peay St., agency: Inception Sports) helped adding 19 points and 6 rebounds. Four ALM Evreux players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American center Zachery Peacock (203-87, college: Georgia Tech) with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds and center Johan Passave-Ducteil (200-85, agency: Comsport) scored 11 points and 5 rebounds. JL Bourg's coach tested ten players seeing no chance for a win. ALM Evreux maintains second place with 17-10 record having four points less than leader Hyeres-Toulon. JL Bourg lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the third position with 11 games lost. They share it with Provence Basket and Le Portel. ALM Evreux will play against Le Portel (#4) at home in the next round. JL Bourg will play against Orchesien BC in Orchies and hopes to get back on the winning track.
