Regular Season Round 28: Start Lublin - Torun 63-96

Date: April 13, 2016
The game with biggest result difference took place in Lublin. Local MKS Start (4-26) was outscored by third ranked Twarde Pierniki (23-7) 96-63. Twarde Pierniki outrebounded MKS Start 42-29 including a 32-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. The winners were led by American Markeith Cummings (198-88, college: Kennesaw St.) who scored that evening 18 points and Ukrainian power forward Maxym Korniyenko (205-87, agency: Beo Basket) supported him with 14 points and 6 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Five Twarde Pierniki players scored in double figures. Even 8 points and 5 assists by point guard Jan Grzelinski (180-94, college: Canisius) did not help to save the game for MKS Start. American guard Nick Kellogg (190-91, college: Ohio) added 7 points and 8 rebounds for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Twarde Pierniki moved-up to second place, which they share with Rosa Radom. MKS Start lost fourth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 26 lost games. Twarde Pierniki's next round opponent will be Anwil (#4) in Wloclawek. MKS Start will play on the road against Polpharma (#13) in Starogard and hope to win that game.
