The game between closely ranked teams ended with ninth ranked Boca Juniors' (22-29) home victory over 10th ranked Lanus (21-31) 91-81 on Friday. The hosts trailed by 8 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 2-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 91-81. It was a great evening for the former international swingman Adrian Boccia (195-82) who led his team to a victory scoring 19 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. The former international forward Fabian Ramirez (193-90) helped adding 22 points (made all of his nine free throws !!!). At the losing side American swingman Rodney Green (196-88, college: La Salle) responded with 27 points and 8 rebounds and American-Liberian power forward Samuel Hoskin (206-79, college: De Paul, agency: Higher Vision Sports) scored 18 points and 9 rebounds. Four Lanus players scored in double figures. Lanus' coach Fabio Demti rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Boca Juniors maintains ninth place with 22-29 record, which they share with Instituto C. Loser Lanus keeps the tenth position with 31 games lost. Boca Juniors will face higher ranked CASLA (#3) in Almagra in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
