Regular Season Round 6: Lakeside L. - East Perth E. 103-94
Date: April 15, 2016
Not a big story in a game in North Lake where 12th ranked Eagles (1-5) were defeated by tenth ranked Lightning (3-3) 103-94 on Friday. Lightning outrebounded Eagles 52-41 including 19 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. The best player for the winners was American forward Daniel Alexander (206-91, college: Grand Canyon) who had a double-double by scoring 36 points (!!!) and 17 rebounds. The other American import forward T.J. Hallice (206-92, college: Mercer) chipped in 23 points and 9 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international forward Rhys Vague (203-96) who recorded a double-double by scoring 22 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists and swingman Drew Williamson (196-83, college: Metro St.) added 23 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Eagles' coach let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Lightning moved-up to eighth place in League. Loser Eagles keep the twelfth position with five games lost. Lightning will face league's leader Cougars in Hamilton Hill in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Eagles will play on the road against Redbacks (#11) in Northbridge and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
