The game between Top Four teams took place in Santiado Estero. Second ranked host Quimsa (29-21) smashed 3rd placed Libertad Sunchales (28-24) 79-56. The game was mostly controlled by Quimsa. Libertad Sunchales managed to win second period 18-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a great evening for American guard David Jackson (195-82, college: Penn St.) who led his team to a victory scoring 17 points and 5 rebounds. His fellow American import center Robert Battle (205-81, college: Drexel, agency: DTMones) helped adding 11 points and 11 rebounds. At the losing side point guard Jose Vildoza (190-96) responded with 13 points and 6 rebounds and American power forward Lee Roberts (201-87, college: Findlay, OH) scored 10 points and 8 rebounds. Four Libertad Sunchales players scored in double figures. Defending champion maintains second place with 29-21 record having just three points less than leader Olimpico LB. Libertad Sunchales at the other side keeps the third position with 24 games lost. They share it with Obras Basket and La Union. Quimsa are looking forward to face league's second-placed Penarol in Mar del Plata in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Libertad Sunchales will play at home against Quilmes MP and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
