Regular Season Round 26: Easo - Valladolid Univ. 59-75

There was an upset in San Sebastian where higher ranked Easo (15-7) was defeated by tenth ranked Valladolid Univ. (10-12) 75-59 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Valladolid Univ.. Easo was better in fourth quarter 21-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Valladolid Univ. forced 20 Easo turnovers. Power forward Alvaro Encinas (202-94) scored 10 points and 7 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and forward Axel Castillo (194-88) chipped in 9 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Valladolid Univ.'s coach used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Point guard Inigo Del Valle (188-87) responded with 17 points and 6 rebounds and forward Mikel Esnaola (200-94, agency: Dynamics Global Management) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds. Four Easo players scored in double figures. Valladolid Univ. moved-up to eighth place in Group A-A. Loser Easo keeps the fifth position with seven games lost. Valladolid Univ. will face Zarautz (#12) at home in the next round. Easo will play against Mondragon (#10) and hope to win that game.
