Regular Season Round 26: Al-Qazeres - Adareva 85-58

LF2 top team - Al-Qazeres (23-3) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed sixth ranked Adareva (15-12) in Caceres 85-58. It looked good early as Adareva took a 2-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Al-Qazeres had a 21-15 second period charge getting the lead and Adareva was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 58-85. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Adareva to just 6 points in third quarter. They outrebounded Adareva 46-30 including 16 on the offensive glass. Al-Qazeres players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Adareva's players. The best player for the winners was Mozambican power forward Leia Dongue (185-91) who had a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds. American forward Julie Forster (185-91, college: Albany) chipped in 9 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Al-Qazeres players scored in double figures. Al-Qazeres' coach felt very confident using 10 players saving starting five for next games. Forward Eva Serra (183-83) produced 22 points and 6 rebounds and point guard Laura Fernandez (169-89) added 7 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the guests. Al-Qazeres have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position in Group A with 23-3 record. Newly promoted Adareva keeps the sixth place with 12 games lost.
