No shocking result in a game in Mandurah where eighth ranked Tigers (4-3) defeated 13th ranked Magic (1-5) 82-67 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was American swingman Jay Bowie (196-92, college: Marist) who scored 28 points and 6 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). Guard Damien Scott (190-92) chipped in 24 points. At the other side the best for losing team was American swingman Trevor Setty (203-89, college: Pikeville) who recorded 20 points and 7 rebounds and his fellow American import forward Taylor Mullenax (200-86, college: St.Edward's) added 16 points and 10 rebounds respectively. Tigers moved-up to fifth place in League. Loser Magic keeps the thirteenth position with five games lost. Tigers will face Suns (#14) in Kalamunda in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Magic will play at home against Flames and hope to win that game.
