Regular Season Round 55: Kanazawa Samuraiz - Fukuoka Rizing 95-77

The game between closely ranked teams ended with seventh ranked Kanazawa Samuraiz's (27-22) home victory over 8th ranked Fukuoka Rizing (17-30) in Ishikawa 95-77 on Saturday. The game without a history. Kanazawa Samuraiz led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 32-of-39 free shots (82.1 percent) during the game, while Fukuoka Rizing only scored eleven points from the stripe. Kanazawa Samuraiz looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Fukuoka Rizing was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. American players dominated also this game. It was a very good performance for forward Marshall Brown (200-85, college: Missouri) who helped to win the game recording 22 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Power forward Andrew Fitzgerald (202-90, college: Oklahoma) contributed with 21 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Forward Donnavan Kirk (206-91, college: Miami, FL) answered with 20 points and 8 rebounds and forward Josh Peppers (201-85, college: Cent.Florida) added 14 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Fukuoka Rizing. Five Kanazawa Samuraiz and four Fukuoka Rizing players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Kanazawa Samuraiz maintains seventh place with 27-22 record. Loser Fukuoka Rizing keeps the eighth position with 30 games lost. Kanazawa Samuraiz will face again Fukuoka Rizing (#8) at home in the next round.
