Second Stage Round 11: BC Mess - Heffingen 66-81

Very important is a home loss of third ranked BC Mess (16-13) against fourth ranked Heffingen (10-19) on Saturday night. Host BC Mess was defeated by Heffingen in Mondercange 81-66. Heffingen made 19-of-22 free shots (86.4 percent) during the game. Heffingen outrebounded BC Mess 39-24 including 28 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was American Jalen Nesbitt (198, college: N.Florida, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) who had a double-double by scoring 26 points and 18 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). His fellow American import forward Brad Reese (199-88, college: Texas Tech) chipped in 27 points. Reese is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Heffingen's coach Mark Reed used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Slovenian power forward Marko Vranjkovic (204-90) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds and American swingman Elijah Bonsignore (198, college: S.New Hampshire, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) added 16 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Heffingen maintains fourth place in League with 10-19 record. Newly promoted BC Mess keeps the third position with 13 games lost. Heffingen will meet league's leader Residence in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. BC Mess will play against Grengewald in Niederanven and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
