The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Roma E-basket (25-4) at the home court on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by ninth ranked Roma Luiss (16-13) 76-71. Roma Luiss looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Power forward Francesco Ramenghi (209-92) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 13 rebounds. Leonardo Marcon (189-95) contributed with 13 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Roma Luiss' coach Andrea Paccarie used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Swingman Nelson Rizzitiello (198-84) answered with 26 points and 6 rebounds and naturalized Argentinian point guard Nicolas Stanic (180-84, agency: Players Group) added 15 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) in the effort for Roma E-basket. Roma Luiss moved-up to eighth place in B. Roma E-basket at the other side still keeps top position with four games lost. Roma Luiss are looking forward to face higher ranked Scafati Cesarano (#6) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Roma E-basket will play against Fondi (#16) and is hoping to win this game.
