Regular Season Round 29: Paris-Levallois - Gravelines 83-63

We should mention about the upset which took place in Levallois, where 4th placed Gravelines-Dunkerque (18-11) was outleveled in a road game by fourteenth ranked Paris-Levallois (12-17) 83-63. It looked good early as Gravelines-Dunkerque took a 8-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Paris-Levallois had a 31-14 second period charge getting the lead and Gravelines-Dunkerque was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 63-83. They outrebounded Gravelines-Dunkerque 40-21 including a 29-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. Paris-Levallois players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. The former international center Vincent Poirier (210-93, agency: Comsport) nailed a double-double by scoring 23 points and 12 rebounds for the winning side and Senegalese Maleye N'Doye (202-80, college: Furman, agency: Comsport) accounted for 19 points and 6 rebounds. American Steven Gray (196-89, college: Gonzaga) came up with 17 points and the former international point guard Andrew Albicy (178-90) added 5 points and 9 assists respectively for Gravelines-Dunkerque in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. Paris-Levallois maintains fourteenth place with 12-17 record. Gravelines-Dunkerque at the other side dropped to the sixth position with 11 games lost. Paris-Levallois' next round opponent will be higher ranked Chalon/Saor (#5) on the road and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
