There was no surprise in Terrigal where 9th ranked Manly Warringah Sea Eagles (1-4) were defeated by fifth ranked Crusaders (3-2) 84-77 on Saturday. Crusaders forced 21 Manly Warringah Sea Eagles turnovers. Manly Warringah Sea Eagles were plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was forward Callum Jenkins who had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds. Jack Robilliard chipped in 20 points. Four Crusaders players scored in double figures. Crusaders' coach used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. At the other side the best for losing team was naturalized Polish swingman Stefan Blaszczynski (196-84, college: Nicholls St.) who recorded 23 points and 6 rebounds and guard Steven White (182-90, college: Alaska-Anch.) added 19 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Crusaders moved-up to fourth place in League. Loser Manly Warringah Sea Eagles dropped to the tenth position with four games lost. Crusaders will face Hills Hornets (#9) in Baulkham Hills in the next round where they are favorite. Manly Warringah Sea Eagles will play at home against Sutherland Sharks and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
