Regular Season Round 28: Boulazac - Poitiers 80-73

Date: April 16, 2016
The game in Boulazac was also worth to mention about. 6th ranked Poitiers (15-13) played at the court of eighth ranked Boulazac Basket (15-13). Boulazac Basket managed to secure a 7-point victory 80-73. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Poitiers won third quarter 20-16. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. 24 personal fouls committed by Poitiers helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a very good performance for Jerome Sanchez (197-90) who helped to win the game recording 22 points. American power forward Franklin Hassell (203-88, college: ODU, agency: Inception Sports) contributed with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 14 rebounds for the winners. Four Boulazac Basket players scored in double figures. American point guard Darrin Dorsey (188, college: Dakota Wesleyan) replied with 23 points and American-British power forward Laurence Ekperigin (201-88, college: Le Moyne) added 11 points and 12 rebounds in the effort for Poitiers. Poitiers' coach Rudy Nelhomme tested ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Boulazac Basket moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Nantes and Poitiers. Boulazac Basket's next round opponent will be Souffelweyersheim (#17) on the road which should be an easy win for them.
