Regular Season Round 21: Guasave - Tijuana 98-86

No shocking result in a game when third ranked Frayles de Guasave (12-6) beat at home 6th ranked Tijuana Zonkeys (9-13) 98-86. The best player for the winners was American Kevin Rogers (206-86, college: Baylor) who had a double-double by scoring 30 points and 11 rebounds. His fellow American import guard Jordan Williams (198, college: N.Texas) chipped in 21 points. Four Frayles de Guasave players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international power forward Arim Solares (202-83) who recorded 27 points and American swingman Marcus Morrison (198-84, college: Middle Tenn.St.) added 12 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists respectively. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Frayles de Guasave maintains third place with 12-6 record behind leader Guaymas. Defending champion Tijuana Zonkeys keep the sixth position with 13 games lost. Frayles de Guasave's next round opponent will be Caballeros de Culiacan (#5) on the road. Tijuana Zonkeys will play against Trigueros de Ciudad Obregon and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
